From the Artist:

 

"I grew up in Omaha Nebraska and had a lot of great experiences with art starting at a very young age and continuing through high school.  I received my BA in Art, specializing in graphic design, from Nebraska Wesleyan University, just as computers were making their grand appearance in the industry.  This led me to re-think my decision, and after a camp counseling experience in the mountains of Colorado I decided I really wanted to teach.

I received a masters degree in art education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and subsequently taught art at the high school level in Kearney Nebraska for thirty two years, and during that time the majority of my creative energy went to my family,  raising three children, and to developing a love of art in my students.

I retired from Kearney Public Schools in the spring of 2022 and am now an adjunct instructor at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, as well as a studio artist."
